Switzerland’s trains are fast and reliable! Check out Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) for schedules, connections, and tickets.
From Zurich Airport: SBB to Interlaken Ost, then transfer to Grindelwald.
From Geneva Airport/Cornavin: SBB via Bern → Interlaken Ost → BOB (Berner Oberland Railway) to Grindelwald
Tips:
❗Check train schedules before booking your flight! Connections to Grindelwald can be limited in the evening.
If you're planning to explore more of Switzerland, consider a Swiss Travel Pass for unlimited rides.
The Swiss Half Fare Card gives you 50% off most trains, buses, and mountain railways. (Not necessary if Grindelwald is your only destination though.)
Book early to grab Supersaver tickets: fixed-time, non-refundable, but often saves a lot!

Getting to the Ceremony & Reception
No need to worry about mountain navigation!
The ceremony venue in Bussalp is a private property and does not allow guest vehicles. We’ll arrange a private shuttle picking up everyone from the hotels and taking you up to the ceremony site.
After the ceremony, the shuttle will return to Grindelwald for the reception dinner, and later, it will take everyone back to their hotels.
More info will be shared closer to the wedding date!
Visa
Some of our guests may need a Schengen visa to enter Switzerland. You can check the requirements and apply through the official Swiss Visa Info Portal or via the website of the Swiss Embassy or Consulate.
Make sure to apply early (ideally 6+ weeks in advance) as it takes time to process!
Tips:
If you don’t see available appointments for your desired dates, try checking back once or twice a day (especially in the morning), and new slots often open up when someone cancels or the consulate adds more times.
If you need help with drafting the travel itinerary for visa, feel free to reach out and we’re happy to help :)
